Gir National Park

Gir National Park established in 1965, is one of the most distinguished National wildlife sanctuaries sprawled over an area of about 1412 sq. km. Gir is the last home for the Asiatic Lions and an ecosystem of more than 2300 wild species. It will be a treat to your eyes with the mixed deciduous forests with the evergreen and semi-evergreen trees. The prestigious Kamleshwar Dam, regarded as the lifeline of the park is also a center of attraction. The park is nurtured by seven perennial rivers that crisscross the park to a larger extent.

Statue Of Unity

This world’s tallest statue is located next to the mighty river Narmada and the Sardar Sarovar Dam, with the beautiful Vindhya and Satpura mountains on both sides. The posture justifies the dignity, confidence, and kindness that his personality reflects. With his head held up, a shawl flung from his shoulders, and his hands are on the side as if he is set to walk- toward modern India. Pavagadh Archaeological

This lesser-known UNESCO World Heritage Site is a well-preserved beautiful mix of Hindu and Muslim architecture. These include a hill fortress, palaces, and Jama Masjid – one of the most spectacular mosques, residential areas, reservoirs, and step wells. You can also visit some other mosques in the archaeological site, like Lila Gumbaz ki Masjid and Nagina Masjid, in addition to these lovely locations. A few additions include a Custom House, a stepwell, and an arched building of Saat Kaman.

Sun Temple

Built-in the early 11th century during Chalukya Dynasty, the Modhera Sun temple is designed in such a way that the first ray of the rising sun would fall on a diamond placed on the head of the Sun God, lighting up the shrine with a golden glow. The substantial structure consists of a carved stepped tank, an assembly hall, and a shrine. There are 52 pillars in the Sabha Mandap, signifying the 52 weeks in a year. There are carvings of the sun on the walls to show its unity with air, water, earth, and space.
